On your first visit, you will discover that my entire team is committed to gently treating you with amazing respect and attention. My approach to your dental care begins with listening. After our examination together, I will discuss the choices you have in the care of your mouth and teeth, so that you may make informed personal decisions before beginning treatment, knowing time required and finances involved.” – Dr. Lisenby
Erin Graham, DDS – General Dentist
“Growing up around dentistry, I was able to see the impact that the field can have on individuals, their health, and their happiness. I wasn't sure where my future would take me after my dental residency; however, I knew that practicing in central Missouri would be an excellent opportunity. I am grateful to be close to home, serving the communities that I was surrounded by during childhood.
I find dentistry to be very rewarding. Working alongside patients to develop comprehensive treatment plans to fit each individual is something that I greatly enjoy. Dentistry is often perceived as a painful necessity; however the advances in dental technology have made it much more comfortable and patient-friendly.” – Dr. Graham
Dr. Graham appreciates having the opportunity to share her passion for dentistry with each individual who calls Plaza Dental their dental home. Upon graduating with Honors from the University of Missouri, Dr. Graham attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry. She was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society and graduated Cum Laude with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and Oral Surgery Honors.
Dr. Graham completed a General Practice Residency program at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, where she furthered her training in surgical and restorative treatment. She received the Dr. Bottone Special Patient Care award for hospital dentistry. Recently, Dr. Graham attended the American Dental Association Annual Meeting, MERIT, and the Midwest Dental Conference.
A member of the local and national dental associations, Dr. Graham is active in the dental community and beyond. She attends The Crossing Church, enjoys participating in service activities, and finds great joy in building lasting friendships with those around her. Dr. Graham serves on the American Cancer Society Relay for Life Executive Team, and is looking forward to becoming more involved in the mid-Missouri community.
Dr. Graham's other interests include running, hiking, baking, singing, photography, and her Golden Retriever, Bentley. She also likes to cheer on Sporting KC, Denver Broncos, and the national rugby team of New Zealand!
Staci Chenot, DMD – General Dentist
Dr. Chenot’s passion for dentistry began when she was serving in the Marine Corps. Sustaining massive facial trauma while deployed to Iraq, she underwent jaw reconstructive surgery. Her appreciation for the impact that this event had on her life drove her decision to pursue dentistry and the opportunity to have a positive impact on the lives of others.
Upon graduating with Honors from the University of Rhode Island, Dr. Chenot attended the Western University of Health Sciences College of Dental Medicine. Dr. Chenot was the President of her dental class as well as a board member for the American Student Dental Association.
Dr. Chenot’s mission to be a positive impact on others does not just stop at Plaza; she has participated in missions’ trips to Guatemala and Mexico, provides care to local Veterans, and she and her team look forward to volunteering for Missouri Mission of Mercy every year.
Dr. Chenot and her husband, Michael are HUGE ‘Friends’ fans, enjoy traveling, any outdoor activity, game nights, and their cats, Reagan and Ruby. Dr. Chenot is also an alumnus and actively involved in The Wounded Warrior Project participating in many local gatherings and support efforts.
“My passion for dentistry is centered around my patients and ensuring that we restore and maintain their oral health, all while giving them a positive experience. The first thing people see when they look at us is our smile and whether it be full mouth rehab, crowns to prevent teeth from breaking, fillings to treat decay or simply routine cleanings and check-ups these are all ways that I know I am giving my patients their best smile.
Many dental courses I have attended though the years all start with a single question, ‘What is your WHY’. From the day I knew I wanted to pursue dentistry, my ‘WHY’ has been all of you, my patients. Dentistry is often perceived as a painful and negative necessity; however with so many advances in the field we have the ability to change that perception and my goal is to use my passion and my knowledge to have a positive impact each and every one of my patients.” – Dr. Chenot
Meet the Specialists
Walt Pfitzinger, DDS, MS – Sleep Medicine
Dr. Pfitzinger founded Plaza Dental Group in 2008 with a vision for incredible customer service, patient convenience, and high quality of care standards. His objective was to create a general and multi-specialty dental group practice in the heart of Missouri. In this group practice model, dental specialists and general dentists work together in an environmentally friendly facility that encompasses all the technology that today’s dentistry has to offer.
After completing his undergraduate work at Mizzou, Dr. Pfitzinger graduated from St. Louis University School of Dentistry. Following two years as a general dentist in the U.S. Army, he completed his residency in pediatric dentistry at Marquette University and Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, in Milwaukee. He then founded a multi-specialty group practice in St. Charles, MO, Family Dental Services, where he practiced for 25 years.
Dr. Pfitzinger’s practice today is focused solely on the emerging field of dental sleep medicine, in which dental appliances give relief to patients with obstructive sleep apnea. In addition, he is an assistant professor at Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine.
Dharti Gandhi, DDS – Pediatric Dentist
Dr. Ghandi grew up in Mexico, Missouri and attended the University of Missouri Columbia earning her BS in Biology with honors. She received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry. It was here, along with her experiences shadowing a pediatric dentist in college, that cultivated her love of Pediatric Dentistry. After graduating with endodontic honors, Dr. Gandhi moved to Denver where she worked as a General Dentist in a pediatric dental office. She then received an additional 2 years of training through NYU Langone Hospital’s Pediatric Dental Residency where she earned her certificate as a Pediatric Dentist. She is a member of American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, Missouri Dental Association, and the Colorado Dental Association.
Dr. Dharti loves to spend time with her husband, Kyle, and their baby boy, Myles. On the weekends, you will often find her running marathons, attending the local farmers market, and spending time with her family. One interesting fact about her is that she is an avid bootcamp athlete. Dr. Gandhi values establishing long term relationships with her patients and the community. She emphasizes education, quality care, and the importance of public service. She creates a fun positive environment and tailors care to each individual patient.
Christian Francis, DDS, MS – Orthodontist
Dr. Francis supports the American Association of Orthodontists’ recommendation that children be seen by an orthodontist beginning at age seven. Certain dental and jaw relationships can only be treated early to avoid surgery or further compromise later. However, research shows that orthodontic treatment is most efficient in a single phase of comprehensive treatment when possible and that is Dr. Francis’ preference as well.
Dr. Francis grew up in Bozeman, Montana. He received his bachelor’s degree in biology from Brigham Young University and graduated magna cum laude from the University of Texas School of Dentistry. It was during his orthodontic residency at the University of Kentucky that he and his wife first visited central Missouri and considered relocating to the area. Dr. Francis and his wife Shannon have three sons: Tyson, Austin, and Neal. They love hiking and camping and spend most of their family time playing games together and riding bicycles and tricycles around the neighborhood.
“The power of a healthy, attractive smile really enhances self-confidence. I learned this personally as I finally opened up with my smile after years of not showing my teeth when I smiled due to embarrassment. That personal transformation that accompanied my own orthodontic treatment led me to begin working at an orthodontic office from the age of 16. To this day, that contagious smile from a patient with newly aligned teeth is still the most exciting and rewarding aspect of my work.” –Dr. Francis
