Meet the Dentists

Kyle Lisenby, DMD – General Dentist

Clinical director and co-owner, Dr. Lisenby has been with Plaza Dental Group since the doors opened in 2008. Dr. Lisenby wholeheartedly respects and values every patient who walks through the door of our office. After receiving his Bachelor of Science from University of Illinois, he graduated in the top 15% of his class at Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine in metropolitan St. Louis. His research on dental cements was selected for presentation at the 2005 annual American Dental Association meeting in Philadelphia.

Dr. Lisenby attended a residency program at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago, where he gained additional training in many advanced surgical procedures, including the placement of implants and the removal of wisdom teeth.

To be at the forefront of dental care, Dr. Lisenby keeps current with the latest advances in the field of dentistry. He travels all over the United States each year to attend some of the best continuing education programs in dentistry, and has completed hundreds of hours of coursework in implants alone under some of the field’s most respected implant and surgical instructors.

Dr. Lisenby, his wife Andrea, and their two daughters Noelle and Logann, and new born son Jaxon, are actively involved in their Christian faith and attend The Crossing Church in Columbia. Dr Lisenby’s other interests include running, reading, bible study, and spending time on the MKT trail with his wife and kids!

Dr. Lisenby currently serves as the President of the Columbia Dental Society, volunteers for Special Olympics and participates in short term missions both locally and abroad having visited Jamaica and Honduras.

Dr. Houston Rash - General Dentist

Dr. Rash grew up in Columbia, Missouri where he learned a few of his interests were working with and helping improve the overall health of others. In college, he was introduced to the field of dentistry after observing a local dentist. From this experience he realized how dentistry was a perfect blend between art and science, and how important, yet unique dentistry is. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Sciences from the University of Missouri in Columbia (Mizzou) in 2015. He then attended the Missouri School of Dentistry and Oral Health (MOSDOH) where he earned a Doctorate in Dental Medicine in 2020. During this time, Dr. Rash also obtained a certificate in Public Health with a Dental Emphasis, was published in the Journal of Dental Education, and obtained first-hand experience with digital scanning. Dr Rash is interested in all aspect of dentistry but has a passion for digital dentistry (CAD/CAM), oral surgery, endodontics, and cosmetic cases!

Dr. Rash’s overall purpose is to provide comprehensive care that is tailored to each patient’s individual needs and comfort level. Because of this, he strives to perform a variety of services and to educate his patients on the importance of a healthy mouth in order to restore a person’s smile and give back their confidence. His overall goals are to develop a lasting doctor-patient trust and create a warm, welcoming environment that leaves the patient walking away with a positive experience!

Dr. Rash currently resides in Columbia, Missouri with his wife Kayla and their dog Archie. In his free time, he enjoys traveling with this wife, working out, taking Archie on walks, hiking, photography, and woodworking.
